Your WeatherPlus Board is not connected [com3]I'm trying to update my Firmware in the WeatherPlus V1 R2 board. Last I did it was fine from my Arduino IDE, but now the system reports that the port is not connected. I activate the Bootloader button and compile and upload my sketch. During the process, the communication LED on the FTDI USB adapter flashes. (Watch Youtube Video)
Still, the communication ends with an error that there is no contact to the port. (See screen shot) the selected serial port _
does not exist or your board is not connectedI Use the following Board settings: To exclude errors in the software I have tried to upload an example sketch, " Blink without delay", just to exclude that it has something to do with the SDL_ESP8266_WeatherPlus.ino software. But without any changes. If I disconnect the USB connection to the WeatherPlus board, then Com3 disappears as a port option in the Arduino IDE. It shows that it is the right port and that it is connected to it. Wemos D1 Mini testIf I connect a Wemos D1 Mini Board, and upload the same "Blink Witout delay" sketch to this one on Com 5, it will work fine. Is there a problem with the WeatherPlus Board ? Any suggestions on how to fix it ?

No, I don't think there is a problem with the WeatherPlus Board. Windows is notorious for screwing up drivers and com ports. The first thing to do is completely shut down your windows system (turn it off!) and reboot it.

1) It did not help with a reboot of my PC. It is still not possible to flash the WeatherBoard Plus. 2) I downloaded a new CP210x_Universal_Windows_Driver and installed this one. Restarted PC and Arduino IDE, but still without result. www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-driversStill with the error: the selected serial port _ does not exist or your board is not connected 3) I have a new WeatherPlus V2 Board that is not yet operational. Can I test it for comparison ? Does Weather Plus V2 use the same driver as WeatherPlus V1 ? What else can I do to get in touch with WeatherPlus V1 again ?

V1 requires an FTDI cable to connect to your USB port and program. I'm not sure how you are connecting to it.
V2 will connect through the serial port through a regular USB cable.

Of course, I use the included FTDI adapter which came with the OurWeather kit. I think I have done all I can do, but still the system will not upload new firmware. See picture and Video below. The video shows what happens during my attempt to transfer the firmware. Please see it through.

Testing WeatherPlus V1I'm pretty frustrated that I can't move forward with the development of my Weather Plus. I have an acquaintance with NASA, a biologist who would very much like my WeatherPlus V1 to Weather Cloud Integration. Therefore, I must continue to work on this platform. Before I switch to my WeatherPlus V2 kit, where I want to perform the same integration, it is my intention that my WeatherPlus V1 kit should be mounted in the cottage, and the new WeatherPlus V2, on a mast above my roof. To further troubleshoot my WeatherPlus V1 board, I think I will purchase an Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266 WiFi Breakout board which also uses the FTDI adapter for configuration. This is only to determine if WeatherPlus has errors or it has something with my PC or other equipment which is why I can't send new firmware to it. My supplier: minielektro.dk/adafruit-huzzah-esp8266-wifi-breakout.htmlI can buy this in Denmark for approx. $ 16 + shipping. Do you have any other suggestions on how to test my WeatherPlusBoard?

I think at some time you have fried your WeatherPlus V1 board. Did you ever plug the FTDI cable in incorrectly? Hard to say what has happened to the board.
