Got the OurWeather kit for Christmas, and finally set it up yesterday. Since installation the barometer has been reporting 39.44 inHg (133564 Pa). Since Russia holds the worlds record for highest air pressure ever recorded, 32.005 inHg, I figure something has got to be wrong with my setup.
Is there any debugging / testing that I can perform to assess the problem? Thanks in advance,

I ordered the lightning detector module and the air quality module yesterday, but the barometer doesn't work and just today I've had to restart the unit 3 times because it has locked up. Am I just throwing good money after bad here? Anybody have this working properly in a stable environment?

Do you have the V1 or V2 unit?
My advice above is good if you have the V1 kit. ESP8226 based. BP

I have upgraded it to the latest software. How do I know what version it is? Here's how it replies:

Also, it has been raining all day here in SE PA, but it appears that the rain isn't being tracked either.

Watch the OLED as it boots up. You also haven't set the time. Looks like your ThunderBoardParams are corrupted. I would suggest reading the documentation and doing a complete reset to the default set and restart of the system.
If the rain bucket clicks, does the light flash on the board?

So, despite the fact that my Weather Kit was brand new, out of the box, I took your advice and bought the V2 board "to solve all my problems". I have configured the WiFi no fewer than 25 times now - this thing won't remember WiFi connection information over any reboot. So now I'm assuming you're going to tell me to just upgrade to the V3 board, which is on sale, because it resolves all the WiFi connection problems! What kind of quality control are you guys running here. This is out of the box non-functional equipment with both versions of your product!

Did you buy the upgrade kit?
That comes with the sensors.
There is no V3 board and we have 100's of customers who use the system. Very, very, very few problems.
I need to know exactly what you have and how it is wired up. Then I can help diagnose the problem. Can you post some pictures and tell us what the OLED says on boot up? I'm especially interested in the software version number.
It *could be* that it has a problem with your access point. We saw one customer that has his AP set in a weird configuration and his problems cleared up when he reset it to factory defaults. Unfortunately, that also wiped out what he had done to cause the problem. What access point are you using?
We will get you up and running!

I bought the upgrade board from the link in your post. I have attempted to configure it with the enclosed temp / humidity sensor, the lightning detector and the air quality detector. I have also tried to configure it with only the temp / humidity sensor. Finally, I have tried to configure it with no external sensors. The board boots, I connect to it's wifi on 192.168.4.1, I select my SID and enter its password and it connects. Pinging the device shows about a 55% packet loss though. When I reboot the board it reverts ALWAYS to the default on 192.168.4.1. I have repeated the process probably 40 times so far. I was connecting to a Cloudtrax Open Mesh access point, after reading your reply I substituted a Google Wifi access point and got the same results.

No pictures. Try again. What version of the software shows on the OLED?
Did you buy the upgrade kit? Did you follow the instructions and run the tests in the documentation?

There is a newer version, V057 up on the GitHub repository. I don't believe that would fix this problem, but it could be.
Can you download and compile that? If not, I'll get it released to the auto release system update later this week.

Please PM us with your request, purchase data and order numbers. I'll talk to Laurie, but this is definitely a configuration problem. We've asked for picture of your wiring and setup. We need that to help you out. There are 100's of these out there with no problem.
