Greetings, I have a set-up with extender (5 plants). I set it up previously and all pumps worked. I took it apart to rebuild in a weatherproof enclosure, I completed it and am finalizing the installation.
I seem to be running into an issue with pump 1. The system shows that the plant was watered but no water was pumped. When I test the pump on 5v power source, it runs. I changed the grove connector in case it was a faulty cable, but no chance. I am running it from a pi zero w so the only other connection/cabling to test would be the female usb to micro usb cable connecting the pi to usb solid state switch. I ordered a new cable to see...
Have you encountered this issue before? Otherwise, everything else is working as expected.
I look forward to hear back with guidance.
Kindly,
Etienne

Also, is there a way to adjust the point at which plants are watered i.e soil moisture percentage? Could you adjust each individually?
I know where to adjust the pump run time during watering and forced watering. I also know where to change the scheduled interval for the system to run through the watering loop.
If anyone knows, it would be great.

You can change the % by looking into the state.py file and changing this line. All pumps are set the same.
Moisture_Threshold = 60.0
Does the light on the USB board come on when it turns the pump on?

Thanks for the lead on the soil moisture threshold.
The led on the switch is not turning on. I change the female usb to micro usb cable and also no change. Looks like a failed switch..?

Update on Pump 1 Issues.
I thought that for sure the USB Switch was bad but them all of a sudden Pump 1 started to work... then SGS started to not always pump with the other pumps.
Then I investigated the power a bit more and when I touched the 12v power supply for the extender board, the whole receptacle stayed attached to the cable broken off the board. This explained quite a bit obviously.
Am I in a situation to solder, I could attempt with instructions as I have some experience but limited, Or, to get a replacement board?
Looking forward to your advice. Kindly, ED

What 12V power supply for the extender board? Ack! It's a 5V board!
You can definitely try to solder it back on but those pins are tiny.
Are you in the 30 day warranty window? If so, I can issue you an RMA!
