Cross posting this here since I'm not sure if it's a WeatherPlus problem or a SunAirPlus problem: forum.switchdoc.com/post/9548Short version, if I power the WeatherPlus from a wall plus it's fine. If I power it from the SunAirPlus, whether it be from solar or the wall plugged into the SunAirPlus board the WeatherPlus just seems to power cycle. Pic of wiring in other thread ^^ TIA

1) OK, first thing to do is check your SunAirPlus wiring. Plug the VDD in too. That instruction was for some early production SunAirPlus boards.
2) Does the blue light on the USB PowerControl board turn on or off when you plug in the OurWeather? What does it do with the OurWeather plugged in?
3) What size battery are you using? Is it possible that it can't supply the inrush current? Plug in a larger battery.
4) Unplug the USB power supply to SunAirPlus. Does that make any difference?
We will figure this out!

1) Double checked the wiring and looks good. I've tried it with and without the VDD wired and no change. VDD is currently still wired up.
2) If the SunAirPlus is plugged into wall power the blue light is solid on. Unplugged it's off. Plugging or unplugging the OurWeather in either state has no effect on blue light.
3) battery is a 3.7V 5000mAh 115659 Lipo Battery I got on Amazon. Brand is YDL.
4) If the SunAirPlus is USB powered, the OurWeather seems to power cycle with: - OurWeather logo flashing on the OLED - Orange SCL light on the OurWeather FLASHING - Green light on SunAirPlus flashing - Red Light on SunAirPlus solid ON
Thanks for the help! This solar issue is the last thing I need to solve before I can deploy my system.

If the SunAirPlus is not USB powered: - nothing on the OLED - Orange SCL light on the OurWeather OFF - Green light on SunAirPlus OFF - Red Light on SunAirPlus solid ON

Check to see if the battery is wired up properly. Check to see that + is connected to + on SunAirPlus and the - is connected to minus.
Some of these cheap batteries are wired backwards.

*sigh* that was it. I spliced the wires in reverse and works like a champ now. I ordered a replacement battery from a different seller since I'm not comfortable deploying this franken-battery now. Thanks!
