Hello –
I recently purchased this USB Solid State Relay from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQLS09K/). It's works well when I power it with a fixed USB power source, however, when I plug the USB in side to this Anker PowerCore battery (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JIWQPMW/), the relay won't power on. I'm controlling it through its enable and control pins, using a raspberry pi to flip them on and off.
Any ideas on why the battery option isn't working, but the fixed power is?
I also make sure there is a load on the output side of the relay, but still not getting anything.

5V is 5V. Hard to say what is going on, but I suspect (assuming you are getting 5V out of the power source), but I would suspect a Ground problem.
Dr. Shovic's famous statement is "You can always trust your Mother, but you can never trust your ground." Are you running a ground from your Raspberry Pi to the USB Board?
What were you plugging in the USB power from? What was it connected to?

You were right! Grounding the USB Board to the Pi solved the issue. Thanks!
One more quick question, the pins seem to be loose on the connector. Are they a different size then the GPIO pins on the pi?
