The poor screws in my case are getting worn from being opened and closed to reboot the weather station when it locks up. To do this, I want to add an external weatherproof switch or button to allow me to power cycle the weather station.
I have the Our Weather kit, air quality sensor and solar kit.
The options seem to be either : 1. replace the power on/off switch on the SunAirPlus board 2. add a parallel reset for the WeatherPlus board (assuming it's a momentary press)
Do you have an alternate or a recommendation?
Thanks, Steve

Steve, You can just solder some lines to the right terminals on the SunAirPlus switch and use those to connect to a switch. You can figure out what terminals to connect by using an ohm meter. Leave the SUnAirplus switch off and then use your external switch. Another thing to do, that might be a good thing to do is add an external watchdog timer ( store.switchdoc.com/switchdoc-labs-dual-watchdog-timer-board-for-arduino-raspberry-pi/ ). That would require some programming and thought to connect. This is what we do on our GroveWeatherPi models. BP

Perfect, a parallel switch has been added.
I'll look into a watchdog timer - seems the better 'autonomous' solution which is what i was originally looking for.
Thanks, Steve
