I have the SunAirPlus solar controller with 1 6600mAh Lithium Ion battery pack and 1 Voltaic 3.5 Watt solar panel.
I want more storage than the 6600mAh battery. Can I wire 2 of these in parallel, or is there a better alternative??
I have read that you should not wire Lithium Ion batteries in parallel.

We do tell you that you should not do that.
If you were to do that, use the exact same battery and charge them both up fully before you connect them together in parallel.

Thank you for the quick replay. I need some clarification 1) would you not recommend doing this, even if I charge them fully? 2) do you know of other batteries you would recommend? 3) exactly what batteries did you use for the CuraƧao project. From the pictures it looks like 2 batteries. CB

Bluto, We can't recommend you do this since there is some risk. We use the adafruit batteries: www.adafruit.com/product/353We used these for Project Curacao2, you are correct. BP
