I am looking to adapt a higher voltage 30W panel running at 12v to drive the SunAirPlus with a step-down board with selectable V/I output. What is the maximum current input at the rated 6V? I see a spec for Icharge listing a minimum of 800mA / max 1200mA so is the Maximum 1200mA input, and if so will it max out with a limiting circuit vs. burning out?
I often see smaller current from the INA3221 with one or two cells connected so the 800mA minimum confused me.
Thanks

It shouldn't burn out with a max voltage of 6V, it will just reject the current if the battery does not need it.
ICharge min and max is the range around the maximum charging value. It won't go above that, but can easily go below if you don't have sun!
