I am looking to add solar to my OurWeather and get the darn thing running after sitting in a corner unplugged for years.
I am trying to decide between the OurWeather Solar Power Extender Kit and the Solar WXLink LoRa - Wireless Data Link designed for the WeatherRack and the WeatherBoard.
I understand that the former would rely on WiFi to get the data from the station, is that correct? The WXLink package looks super neat, but I can't tell from the documentation whether it will just "extend" the vane, anemometer and rain bucket, or whether the entire Ourweather Kit will be connected to one transmitted and the other to a computer inside my house.
I was hoping for a quick explanation of the differences between the two, and for a recommendation around the following: station out on the balcony, transmitting into my house - is that a WxLink type of job, or a job for the Solar Power Kit?

The solar power extender kit powers the entire unit outside.
WXLink just extends the weather sensors outside and you can run the rest inside.
I love the WXLink for what it is worth!
