Will you also address the Total rain amount not resetting at midnight and the AM2315 sometimes returning bad data or showing up not present for GroveWeatherPi? I know there are workarounds on the forums but just curious if these will be rolled into the main code. Those along with the proper rainfall rate and wind/gust speeds and I think things will be pretty solid as far as the bugs that I've ran into using the GroveWeatherPi code.
EDIT: I also forgot that at least for me, the Rain Bucket increments by 0.02" per interrupt instead of 0.01" so I have had to divide the total by 2 to get accurate amounts when uploading to Weather Underground.

Also just a note. My rain bucket still reports double the amount of rain it should per interrupt. It goes up by 0.02" instead of 0.01" each time. I am not sure if you are fixing that along with the other rain issues.

I recently started using the latest GroveWeatherPi script and the rainfall rate is not uploading to Weather Underground. Last night we got almost 1" of rain but the precipitation rate shows 0 the entire night. Looking at the logs it shows values for "rain in the past 60 minutes" but each time it sent data to Weather Underground the value was 0.

Awesome thanks. I have tried replacing the original code with yours and I will monitor for any further issues.

I've had a few AM2315 sensors that will randomly show up as Not Present when rebooting my Pi or restarting the GroveWeatherPi program. I have to keep restarting or rebooting until it starts showing up. Usually I can run the test script and it reads the data fine even when this occurs but the GroveWeatherPi still has to be restarted before it will gather the data. Sometimes it just reports bad data altogether. I have seen this with 3 different sensors. Last night it randomly reported once to Weather Underground that it was 32F and -4F Dew Point when on either side of that data point it was 70F. I've attached an image of the Weather Underground graph. It usually does this when the sensor doesn't show as present or reports bad data. Sometimes it will go for a week without showing this issue. When I run the test script the CRC value is sometimes 1 instead of 0. Why is that? pi@raspberrypi:~/SDL_Pi_GroveWeatherPi $ sudo python testAM2315.py temperature: 24.8 humidity: 65.5 crc: 1 temperature: 24.8 humidity: 65.7 crc: 1 temperature: 24.8 humidity: 65.9 crc: 0 If i Ctrl+C out of the test script and run it again right away it sometimes reports the bogus data. pi@raspberrypi:~/SDL_Pi_GroveWeatherPi $ sudo python testAM2315.py temperature: 0.0 humidity: 0.0 crc: -1 temperature: 24.9 humidity: 60.8 crc: 0 Attachments:
