Want to setup a weather station for our farm. First one does not need solar power but if it works out good would like to get more with solar. What i want is everything that comes in the sky weather kit but was wondering about it have soil moisture and soil temp probes. And also cellular data options because Wi-Fi wont be available in the middle of the field. I like the idea of weather stem and having all the data stored in the cloud and being able to access the data from any device. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

First of all, I would get started by buying a SkyWeather kit. That gets you going. shop.switchdoc.com/products/skyweather-raspberry-pi-based-weather-station-kit-for-the-cloudGet that up and running and then you can add soil moisture and temperature (our SHT30 sensor should work for you) - you would have a bit of software to do (all of ours is open source) but you can get great help on forum.switchdoc.com You can add Cellular to the Raspberry Pi and if your board is compatible, it will just look like wifi to the software. Remember you will be sending a bunch of photos to the cloud as part of WeatherSTEM. Best, BP
