Hi,
I've finally had the time to finish my weather station and have it running during the summer. However I noticed that the rain gauge really didn't seem to register any rain. When pouring water on it, it did but in normal rain it did not. So i opened the case and noticed something that was strange, in comparison to my other rain gauge that is of the same design but using a 433 rf solution. The swing didn't work according to the principle; water fills the bucket, the swing turns, the other bucket fills, swing turns aso. Instead it worked like this: the bucket fills, the swing turns and then returns to the first position where the first bucket will fill again.
This seem odd to me and it also seem a bit slow to turn, it have to rain very hard for it to register anything - so, is this the way it supposed to work or is there something wrong with it?

This is the way it should work. Put some lubrication on the unit and see if it improves it.
