Trying to get Blynk software from the QR code for skyweather2...It keeps asking me for more energy. So far I've bought about 15$ worth of energy. Has the price of the app gone up? How much does it cost now? Not sure how much I should be buying...Also, the blynk app doesn't show how much energy I've gathered, seems pretty opaque...

This is why I stopped using Blynk. it's a massive money grab. No clear pricing. I think, for the old SkyWeather Blynk app, they got me for about $24.

Mike,
Do you have a replacement suggestion for Blynk? I am thinking that it is getting too expensive for our customers too.

Might be good to update the instruction document, as it suggests the blynk app may cost around $5.99 ...

Agreed. BTW, their pricing varies on it seems a daily basis.

It appears that Blynk requirements have changed with regard to SkyWeather2, and there is a lack of transparency from Blynk. I have 8800 Blynk energy but the Blynk app says that is not enough for SkyWeather2. And Blynk does not say how much is actually required now. I almost bought more, but decided to check with SDL first.
SDL might want to put a hold on suggesting Blynk, and find an alternative. Update the SkyWeather2 doc so people stop trying to use Blynk.

Has anyone played around with setting up a local Blynk server?
Thanks,
Jason

Folks:
We are really interested in finding an alternative to Blynk with a similar set of functionality. I'm open to suggestions.
