Thunder is online. I tried using my lightning tester which I haven't used in a couple years since Sky1. I went back and read the doc for Lightning and it and sensor are working (white light flashes), dash shows it online but never reports any strikes just noise and disturber. Any clues? Help W

wanting to add that along with the AQI sensor.

Had tried that and may still fiddle with it. I have a remote unit. BP mentioned something about interference with Pi. Itt worked on my Sky1 not sure why it wouldn't. I have wondered if the WS series monitors the other ports. Could I add my BME 280 for BMP to the WS AQI. I'd like to eliminate the hat and be able to keep the Pi on my desk. BMP is all that is left after they ship remote camera. I hope they do it justice I wrote about my expectations for a smarter camera software sometimes back. It needs to to adjust settings based on conditions A/S/ISO.

My RPI4 is on my table in my family room near the wall where the SkyWeather2 stuff is. The only thing the pi has connected to it is a BMP280 which I've had around from another project and, of course, the radio dongle.
All data, except barometric data, comes from the SkyWeather2 Rack and the WeatherSense Solar Powered Lightning Sensor.

We like the camera ideas. We are working on a camera improvement for the main unit, but it won't be out until the fall, and with the semiconductor shortage, we only hope at 3Q.
The Hat only has a BMP280 and the interfaces for a bunch more sensors.

BP, Is it normal for WS-L to see Lightning Simulator as a Disturbance in the force not actual lightning?

Yes, it is entirely possible. Having it too close will do that or if you have a high noise level near your thunderboard. Fool around with the range and strength.

Afternoon, I have an issue with reporting. The lighting count in the DASH app, after boot has remained at one. Actual count is 86 total with 85 being after the last reboot. Has this been seen? The Rain count is also incorrectly reporting for last hours rain.

Problem is with the DB query for both of the distance and the count. They both show as 1 which just happens to be the deviceID. They are being pulled out of the returned record from the wrong location. Simple fix on both the selects is just remove the timestamp from the select - it's not needed and then the tuple will match up.
Or better -fix the record tuple from records[0][1] to records[0][2] in both instances
LLJSON["LastLightningDistance"] = str(records[0][2]) + "km"
and
LLJSON["TotalLightningCount"]= str(records[0][2])
