The WS-Lightening uses same sensor as my Sky1 did. The Sky1 had a cable to INT I believe for power management. No mention of it on WS-Lightening. With solar is it something worth using? W

No, it turns out that using the INT was possible, but since we pop up from sleeping every once in a while, we decided to just poll the lightning chip instead.
It is an interrupt line. You can argue for a power saving by doing that, but we decided we had to keep a periodic "keep alive" signal coming from the WS Lightning Sensor.
