Hello
I installed my Skyweather2 in early April. After some startup problems, everything works as it should. But a few days ago the air quality sensor HM3301 stopped working: I only saw 0 values. Fortunately I had a spare HM3301 and after plugging it in I got acceptable readings again. Is it normal for such a sensor to be defective after only two and a half months?
Thanks
Herve

Try plugging it in again now that it has dried out. I would guess it got wet some how.

Ok I'll try that and I'll keep you informed, but I can hardly assume that the sensor got wet because I measure the air quality inside: my RPi and the HM3301-sensor attached to it are on a desk in my attic room...
Thanks

Hello After a few days my new HM3301 also stopped working: AQI-average remained at value 0. After a shutdown I reconnected the HM3301 that originally came with the Skyweather and I saw AQI values again! Could there be a reason why an HM3301 fails after some time? Are there any other users who have the same experience?
Thanks Hervé

Herve,
Our test units work for months. I wonder if this has something to do with the Raspberry Pi you are using. Do you have a spare Raspberry Pi?

Hello BP The Raspberry Pi I now use for my Skyweather2 is an RPi4 with 4 GB. Since my HM3301 is currently giving acceptable values (AQI avg = 67.2 - see attachment), I'm going to wait a little longer to use another RPi4 until the problem occurs again. I'll keep you informed. Thanks Hervé
