Didn’t an appropriate board to post this question so I’ll ask directly. Would it be beneficial to add a 12V fan to the SolarMax2 bud box to help the heat sink dissipate heat?

If your bud box is directly in the sun, that's a really good idea. There is a 12 supply on the Solar Controller board that should make it easy.

Solar panel finally shows up today after a UPS sorting error sent it to NY and of course it is cloudy and rainy today 😡
