Hi Doc, as posted on another thread, I have an occasional problem where the 433 MHz USB connector and antenna connection occasionally drops, losing all input from the weather rack. Still getting the indoor readings (which are located much closer). Weather rack readings just dropped yesterday and this AM I just removed the sky cam cover and jiggled the usb and antenna connection. Readings are back. This has happened several times. Do you have any ideas about how to make this connection more robust?

First of all, I would use a fingernail file and gently clean all the contracts on the antenna as well as on the USB ports. You may have a a corrosion problem. Are you close to an ocean?

central VA. We have high humidity. I just measured the distance and its 20ft clear line of sight weatherrack to SkyCam RPi. I have other 433 Mhz sensors with different commercial weather systems and that distance has not been a problem. Same distance for WiFi from ourweather and that hardly ever drops. I can add a wifi extender and move the Skycam to about 10ft by mounting it on another building, but would prefer not to do that. Next time it drops and I have the Skycam cover off I will clean up the contacts.

Wait a second. I was talking about the USB on the SkyWeather2 and not inside the SkyCam.
To make sure I get this right, would you please summarize your problem in a post so I can make sure I understand? The curse of my small attention span and dealing with 10 problems at once!
