I received the mini pro today and I can't get it to play with Arduino IDE. I have tried multiple boards and both Web and desktop versions of IDE. I tried an Arduino nano and it worked fine. What boards do I choose in IDE to get it to recognize the board. I am powering it with the USB cable. The blue LED comes on and the yellow blinks when it is first plugged in. I have tried several USB cables. Any suggestions?
Thank you, Mike

Can you do a screen shot of the cpu and speed you are using when you select the Arduino?
Also, does a port show up when you plug in the board?
Are you on Windows? Linux, Mac?

I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you but I had to stop working on this for a while, but, I'm back at it again. I bought a couple of spare boards, which also do the same thing so I don't think it is the boards fault.
I downloaded the latest version of Arduino IDE 2.1.0 and installed it as per instructions, I think , on a Dell Windows 11Pro computer. I selected Arduino AVR boards, which listed the correct board a mini or mini pro. However I could no longer find the processor or board speed and voltage.
I then plugged in a board with a USB cable, the yellow light flashed then went out and the blue light came on and stayed on. Then I verified the empty code which verified ok, then tried to download the code and it tried 10 times and failed.
I tried both of the ports, com1 and com7, with the "show all ports" box checked, and these are all that show, neither works. The boards don't seem to be communicating with the software.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you
Mike

go back to the previous 1.XX release of the Arduino iDE.
I can see the processor and stuff under 2.1.0.
