How do you shutdown the server after starting it in background mode?

Mike,
Only option that comes to mind is 'Kill <PID>', where <PID> is process Identifier of RasPiConnectServer.
Command 'PS -ef' will list the processes that are currently running with their <PID>. Locate Server and its <PID> then issue the Kill <PID> command.
I dare say someone will tell me I'm wrong, and let us know the correct way to do it. Only other alternative is to Reboot, but if you're automatically starting Server at bootup, this won't help!

Mike,
You are correct. Almost. If you are logged in as a normal user on the Raspberry Pi, you will need to put sudo before the command.
Like this:
ps -ef | grep RasP
(this gets you the process number)
sudo kill <PID>
will kill the process.
