Hello, I have ourweather with Thunderboard connected and runnig v031. Once a minute I call REST API to get data to my server. In random intervals the device freezes (I can not longer get data through REST) and LCD is frozen too. When I restart the device it sometimes work and sometimes do not (LCD is black). When I tried to upload v032 through "OurWeatherAdmin.html" the LCD said "updated" and when I restarted the device it has black LCD again every time I try to. Can please somebody help me with the problem above? Thank you.

Sounds like something went wrong during the update. Install the Arduino IDE on your computer and compile the software from the source: github.com/switchdoclabs/OurWeatherWeatherPlusIf you can't do this, send the board back to us and we can restore V032 on your hardware. BP

Ok, I have compiled the 032 (it is a little bit of pain on Linux (because includes of Time.h and String.h should be all lowercase) and uploaded. It booted up and running now (it is not quite long now so I cannot make conclusions). But on /OurWeatherAdmin.html I can not set the thunderboard settings. It says incorrect password but I am 100% sure the password is correct (I have tried to change different settings with no problem).

Just trying to update to V032 and the same old problem, Latest New Version: 032 Connect OurWeather to the network to check your Version Number. I ping the IP address and it hits just fine. I've disconnected the power, powered back up and still the same thing.
Any ideas?

Radim,
OK, now we have the latest software. Are you talking to the system through a browser? Using the REST API?
Some browsers with helper applications will hang the OurWeather REST interface. Check out the postings.

Hello,
I have some time to play with this problem so here is my actuall progress.
1.The board died. I was not able to upload any new firmware through admin page or even throug cable from Arduino IDE. The ESP8266 was source of this so I had to desolder it with hot air and replace with new one. Board is functional now.
2. I have uploaded the latest version from Github (v034) and it is the same old thing over and over. I turn on the boad, it works for random time (last time it was approx. 26 hours) and then it loses values (every measured value is zero or NaN). If this happens I restart the board (sometimes reset button works, sometimes I have to remove power) and it happily works until another breakdown.
What should I do to help you investigate this behaviour? I think the OurWeather has a great potential, but with current SW it is not very great and I would like to help. I wanted to buy one more whole kit for my parents but I cannot give them some faulty product which needs so much user attention to work.
PS: I have Thunderboard disconnected, RTC inserted (with good battery) and I am polling REST data with my Raspberry Zero every minute.

I have noticed that there is corrupted time("OurWeatherTime": "85/165/2009 37:165:") value everytime the OurWeather hangs.
PS: It drives me crazy that the Post Quick Reply doesn't work in Chrome so I have to switch to Firefox everytime I want to submit a message here.

I have tried to run it with and without RTC module with no luck. It works for random time (5,3,28 hours) and after that it gets stuck on last value.
Today I will upload v032 (I have v034 now). If this does not help I will try v028 because that should be last working version that I know of.
PS: It is sad that I am talking here to myself. I thought that someone from Switchdoc will look at it and will help me and others with this problem.

Radim,
Sorry for the late reply. I was out of town to meetings down south.
It is sad for us too to be so non-responsive..... Laurie will get on my case!
You didn't answer me about using the REST interface. This is a key question.
Radim, I'm wondering if you have a bad AM2315 (and this is just a theory). PM me and let's chat.

FYI: I have uploaded v028 now. It behaves differently now. It works for some radndom time but after that there is no total crash just outside temp and humidity error (temp is 0 and humidity is NaN). I think that I have some bad AM2315 sensor and when it decide to stop working the newer firmware decide to stop working too. The older firmware just reports no outside T or H values.

Radim, The REST API is sensitive to what you are polling it with. Check out all the issues with Browsers and BHOs in the forum. Stay with the new version. What I would like you to do is to vary the polling to see if this is the problem. Change it to 1/hour and see what happens. That will help us narrow the problem down.
