What causes the weather station to stop reporting, yet can still be pinged from the command line?

Browser problems primarily with Browser Ad blockers and things.
How often are you hitting OurWeather with REST commands? Also, do you have the Lightning Detector Extender Pack installed?

BP It usually shows on Wunderground as not connected. Then I try to get it to report with the browser (Chrome). I don't hit/check the temperature very often. At most, once a day. I don't have the Lightning Detector Extender Pack installed on this weather station.

I just wonder if it has something to do with the the WiFi interfering with the Webserver. This doesn't sound like a problem we have seen before.

I rebooted the unit again today. The Weather Underground stops working as well, yet the IP is pingable.
The Weather Underground is working now, but I can not get the Chrome browser to produce a reading.

Do you have the IP right? WeatherUnderground working and Chrome not working is a new piece of data.
I'm going to recompile the OurWeather software after updating the REST software to the latest version. This sounds like a REST interface problem.

I closed down the DataLogger.py and I'm still having the same problem. It has been down since July 30 (I was away) and yet when I came home, I can ping the IP address.
Going to reboot the device now and see what happens.

Did you verify that the WeatherUnderground is still working?
If it is, then what I am going to do is update the REST software with the latest version and re-release the software to see if that will fix it. I suspect it might. It's the REST interface and web server that is crashing.

No, what I mean is in the above situation: I closed down the DataLogger.py and I'm still having the same problem. Is working as of this morning. When Weather Underground is not working, this is usually how I find out the weather station is down.
It's been up for a couple of days now.
