This post is just one I wanted to share with the group. i purchased my WeatherPI grove kit about a year ago. Everything seems to work well except for the AM2315 probe and the Anemometer. The Anemometer worked great a year ago but something happened and it stopped working. Instead of buying a new one I decided to try fixing it myself. The glass reed switch was cycling between 0 ohms and 1.3 ohms when I would turn the vane. The open switch should have quite a bit more ohms when switch is opened. I ended up learning how to disasemble the anemometer(which is easy) ordered an encapsulated reed switch from the Amazon SOWAY. Electronics123.com or SparkFun both have these. Unsoldered the old reed switch out and desoldered the new reed switch in. I have windspeed again. I am going to share some pictures of what's inside and the repair. Hopefully they explain themselves.

These are the rest of the pictures. The bottom picture is the old glass reed switch. The picture with the black SOWAY reed switch in the case is the new replacement. Hopefully this will work well.

I have posted 3 more pictures after this with the rest of the fix. Let me know what your think about this repair.

I would be glad to do that.

Rogers,
Send the text in one file and then the images. Mark in the text where you want the images.
Send it to customerservice@switchdoc.com
And address it to John Shovic in the subject line so he will get it.
Best,
BP
