Hi all,
I received the Ourweather Solar Wxlink kit yesterday and have wired up a test setup.
On receipt the Lora boards didn't transmit or receive with the 'no init' issue on both boards as covered in another thread. I have recompiled the github sources and updated the boards, and can happily say both the TX and RX boards work, albeit the RX decode isn't as reliable as I would have hoped.
I have noted that after a period of time (~40 minutes) the TX board stops transmitting.
This has been tested with and without the DS3231 on the TX board. The time period it takes for the TX to stop working varies, but it doesn't last more than an hour. When monitoring the frequency with a radio I can hear the transmissions when it is working, and a definite absence of RF when it is not so its not a decode error.
A little detective work and I've found the transmitter locks up when ever the AM2315 temperature and humidity sensor is plugged in to the Grove Mini Pro LP TX board. If this module is not plugged in the transmitter runs for hours without intervention, when it is plugged in it runs for ~40 minutes at most.
The following log was taken from the last time I had the sensor plugged in to an i2c port:
----------Sending packet----------
----------After Sending packet----------
----------Packet Sent. Sleeping Now----------
----------After Wait Sending packet----------
freeMemory()=628
bufferlength=63
AB 66 24 6E 6E 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 B4 41 CD CC 60 42 5D 8F 82 40 66 66 2B C4 66 66 C6 41 73 68 91 40 00 00 00 80 00 00 00 00 57 00 00 00 C5 C5
timeBeforeSleep=2829701
Awake now: timeAfterSleep=2858885
SleepTime = 29184
Millis Time: 2858.89
2wakeState=2
Watchdog1 Reset - Patted the Dog
wakeState=2
MessageCount=88
and nothing after that point, essentially in a locked up state. Remove the sensor and the board seeming works correctly.
The only modules in use at the time were the AM2315 and the Sunairplus power controller.
Any thoughts on this one ?
Cheers.
