Hi,
Just received the SunControl board, and had a chance to pull apart my previous weatherstation to get it installed. I don't have a LiPo connected yet (still waiting on shipping), but wanted to at least power it up and connect to I2C to see what I can see.
Problem is that if I power the RPi via the USB A port on the SunControl and power the SunControl via the USB mini port and an AC wall adapter, the RPi will never fully boot - it resets right before the console comes up. It seems to be about ~40 seconds. Should I not be powering the board with just the USB mini connector and nothing else?

This would depend on the amperage of your mini USB input. For a Pi3+ you'll need a 2.5A supply. For older PIs quite a bit less.

And you still need a LiPo battery. And the battery needs to be above the 3.4-3.5V level.

Lipo battery arrived, long story short I believe one of the boards is bad. I now notice that the charge\done LED never turns on on the board this originally started with. The other SC board works great.
