Here comes a quick overview of my weather project: - A solar powered sky weather running on a pi zero w
The sky weather software will publish the raw data onto a MQTT bus Not sure how to handle the pictures yet... - Indoors on the NAS a container station, web server and sql server will running
The container station will be running docker images with a MQTT broker and a weewx system The weewx will subscribe to the MQTT bus, archive data to the SQL server and generate the website - A raspberry pi screen will configured as a digital photo frame
Besides family photos it will also show the current temperature and the option to show addition weather info
Currently the sky weather is assembled on the dinning room table and everything seems to work fine. I've managed to publish the first data onto through MQTT and got it archived by weewx. Currently wind, rain, temperature and the solar related values are included. Next steps will be to: - adapt the weewx skin to include solar related data to be able to get some statistics when the system is placed outside
- add support for all SkyWeather data to the MQTT publisher and the weewx system
- weatherproofing and putting it up outside; this includes ordering lots of stuff...
- writing the viewing software for the raspberry pi screen
- fixing the weewx skin the way I want it
I guess it will be some time before the system is completely up and running.... Attachments:

Sounds like you are making great progress. Make sure you connect it up to WeatherSTEM too when you get it up!
