Fantastic post DH! Deserves a pin to the forum imho! Jason DH, I agree. You show an excellent way of dealing with that rare issue. I'm going to republish as a blog post DH, if that's OK with you! BP

Hi! So, I followed your directions. Thank you! When I ran the last command, the screenshot below is what I saw before I got an error message that said "connection lost, fatal error". Help? imgur.com/hG3QX2SMy kids are really disappointed, as this is their senior project and they are graduating soon. Any idea on how I can help them overcome this issue? I purchased the SD card through SwitchDoc, and am not aware of any improper shutdowns, so I'm not sure how our card could've gotten corrupted. A mildly frustrated science teacher, Ms. A

You should lose connection after that last command as I believe it reboots the RPi. Are you able to SSH into the RPi now?
Thanks,
Jason

Ms. A, I think the first command shows that my idea was not whatever is causing the problem. My working SkyWeather2 shows the same output. That means that the root filesystem where the pi user home directory is located is not having a problem. Jason is correct, the pi just rebooted. You have to reconnect with ssh to get back into the pi. Dow Hurst

Do the following steps: SSH to the RPi. cd to the SkyWeather2 directory. Run the command ls -al SkyWeather2.JSON and make a note of the timestamps on the file. Open a second terminal window to SSH to the RPi. cd to the SkyWeather2 directory. Run sudo python3 SkyWeatherConfigure.py. Add the station key and click the Save button. Go back to the first terminal window and run ls -al SkyWeather2.JSON again and let us know if the timestamps have changed.
Thanks,
Jason

OH MY GOODNESS FRIENDS. I AM SO SORRY. I am the dumbest girl in school. We figured out our problem. So dumb. so so so so so so so dumb. we put the station key.... wait for it.... for weatherunderground and not weatherstem. I know. I'm so sorry. Please don't ban us from the forum. haha We are newbies, clearly. So, now the Station DOES show up imgur.com/T0WuJYkHOWEVER, once we proceed with the subsequent steps, it STILL doesn't sync with the website. See results below. imgur.com/p1ET8Mtimgur.com/XakqLSRimgur.com/l95Uv5Zbut even after waiting 10 minutes, our website still presents like this: imgur.com/WFGe7bJ. Thoughts? Thank you. and so sorry again.

It doesn't appear as though you've installed the main SkyWeather2 board on the RPi. Can you post a picture of your current setup?
Thanks,
Jason

Ms.A,
Jason is right. I think this is a board plug in problem. Take CLOSE pictures of where you have plugged The SKyWeather2 board in to the Raspberry Pi board. Front and back if possible.
You aren't picking up the BMP280 and that is odd.

It appears as though the main board is mounted properly on the RPi. Can you run the following statement and post results please?
sudo python3 testBMP280.py
Thanks,
Jason

You may have a bad board. Gonna have to defer to SDL at this point.
Thanks,
Jason
