Shot in the dark, litterally, but does anyone know if the Grove Hub from the SkyWeather can be used as an I2C hub with a RPi 4B? This is the hub that is the Hat on the RPi, not a 4 or 6 port grove device. If so, is there any special requirements to get it to be recognized by the RPi?
Thanks

Could you point me anywhere to a cable to extend the sensor - I'm not sure of the connector type on the sensor head.
Thanks,
Gord
Gord, I purchased this cable and then spliced the original end onto it. I used these to do the slicing. I will use some shrink wrap to complete the job. I had the complete coil connected to the unit and it worked fine on the test bench.

It absolutely can as long as the receiver is started with the correct switches. The following command, in wirelessSensors.py controls what the receiver listens to: cmd = ['/usr/local/bin/rtl_433', '-q', '-F', 'json', '-R', '146', '-R', '147', '-R', '148', '-R', '150', '-R', '151', '-R', '152', '-R', '153', '-R', '154', '-R', '155'] The lightning detector is one of the following: 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, or 155. As long as the appropriate switch(es) are in the command above, you should be able to receive everything into a single receiver. Thanks, Jason Thanks Jason for the input. This is the lines that I have in the wirelessSensors.py: #cmd = [ '/usr/local/bin/rtl_433', '-q', '-F', 'json', '-R', '154', '-R', '155'] cmd = ['/usr/local/bin/rtl_433', '-q', '-F', 'json', '-R', '146', '-R', '147', '-R', '148', '-R', '150', '-R', '151', '-R', '152', '-R', '153', '-R', '154', '-R', '155'] One of the scripts I looked on my laptop was missing from 152 to 155, but the system that has the reciever mounted on it is as shown above. On another note, how do I get the indoor temperature to show up? Obviously, I need a senors. Don't have one. What is the best senosr to purchase so that it can be added to the system? Scott

Are you seeing the transmission light flashing on the Lightning sensor? If memory severs, it should report every 15 minutes even with no lightning. Run rtl_433 and see what you are getting on power up of the Lightning Sensor. John I don't see any TX lights, near the 433 Mhz transmitter (LED13). On the WR3 board that light (LED13) flickers everytime the other board's led's tx/rx flicker I have this script installed on the Lightning board, github.com/switchdoclabs/SDL_Arudino_WeatherSenseThunderBoard

Is this possible? And the reason I ask is, I'm not getting any Lightning Board data. Even if there is no lightning, it should send the data of the ID, I would think. I have ziltch.
Is there anyway to test these units?
I have the WR3 with a Lightning board attached, each device has its own Pro Mini board.

I took at look at the source code and it appears that is coming from the code that is trying to get wind data from the database. Thanks, Jason OK, thanks. That could make sense, the device is sitting on a bench inside of the house. Not in a windy environment. The unit is going outside this weekend, so hopefully that rectifies the problem.

It’s the main script for running the Dash app. Thanks, Jason So, when I get the number of Records = 0, that means there was no data to place on the Dash page? The other script, WeatherSenseMonitor.py shows the data for the appropriate times and intercvals.

What does this file actually do? It's located in ~/SDL_Pi_WeatherSense/dash_app/
I get nothing back from it.
number of Records = 0 number of Records = 0 number of Records = 0 number of Records = 0 number of Records = 0 number of Records = 0

That's all zero data. You aren't getting any data. This does mean the 433MHz link is working. You have a problem between the Mini Pro Plus and your WeatherRack3. John John, Spent a good portion of the weekend playing with this unit and I'm getting nothing but zeros. I noticed today the red led on the WR3 head is not illuminating. I'm not sure how long this has been the case, as I was getting zeros when the set up was outside connected to the solar panel as well. I rewired the system to the extrension cable and have accounted for all of the wires and they are where they are suppose to be. In the boards securely. I'm at a loss of what to do now.

No data from your work bench? I thought you could get data from your work bench. John From WeatherSenseMonitor.py ReadingCount=: 1709 Connected with result code 5 processing WeatherRack3 Weather Data This is the raw data: {"time" : "2023-08-07 12:54:31", "model" : "SwitchDoc Labs WeatherRack3", "len" : 37, "messageid" : 199712, "deviceid" : 4650, "protocolversion" : 1, "softwareversion" : 0, "weathersenseprotocol" : 20, "windspeed" : 0, "windforce" : 0, "winddirectiondegrees" : 0, "humidity" : 0, "temperature" : 0, "noise" : 0, "PM2_5" : 0, "PM10" : 0, "pressure" : 0, "hwlux" : 0, "lwlux" : 0, "lightvalue20W" : 0, "rain" : 0, "mic" : "CRC"}

I brought the unit inside to start to get the 30 feet of cable spliced into the wiring to the WR3 head and install the 433 mhz sender for the Thunder/Lightning MiniPro board. While I waited for the 433 mhz sender I set everything up on my work bench and I could not get any information to come out of the WR3 head. Zeros. Nothing but zeros.
I haven't spiced the cable yet and won't until I can get some data.
What can be wriong with this?
PS: What is a good glue to use to keep the boards pinned to the case? I've tried Hot Glue, PL600 and silicone. Both boards with this stuff have come loose and fallen off.
