Did you install ANYTHING on this card? Looks like the i2c bus is not there.
Is the board plugged in correctly on the PI? a good test would be to turn the Pi off, pull the card out, reboot the pi and re run the sudo i2cdetect -y 1 command.
I wonder if your pins are aligned properly and if they aren't, that is hosing the i2c bus.

This is on your SDCard. Fresh out of the package and into my rPi. I insert the SwitchDoc SDCard, turned on the rPi, connected to my WiFi, ran this command, and received this error. Look at the README.md card and give me the card version. Even if I am outbid the office, I should be able to test this. I’ll try duplicate it. “cd” and the try the command again. John

GroveWeatherPi? Boy, you must have had that kit sitting around for a long time!
Here are some suggestions and answers:
1. Can excessive heat in my barn damage the Thunderboard or the Mux board?
Yes, high temperature shortens life, but it sounds like you don't have it about 70 degrees C.
2. What are some other failure modes for the Thunderboard?
Your problem sounds like the Mix, but there is test software included that you can just run on the Thunderboard to test it.
The white light on the ThunderBoard means that there is an interrupt waiting to be read. Normal startup, which to me indicates the ThunderBoard is still working and it is something else.
3. What can be done to determine if the board has indeed gone bad.
Run the test software provided in the ThunderBoard library on GitHub.com/switchdoclabs

Either will fix the problem. We are going to go into V027 and add a check for the new software on the Arduino. If it is the old version, it will recalculate the AQI on the PI based on the raw incoming information from the AQI sensor.

Sounds like you are figuring out the settings for the new QIDI 3D Printer. This is great information. Looks like they have changed the print plates from the XMAX and XPLUS that we use. Could you send a picture of just the plate itself? It is a magnetic plate that attaches to the printer.

That is a new one on us.
Is this on our SDCard or on yours? It's not clear.
If it is yours, find a tutorial on line about enabling i2c on your Pi and follow it very carefully. Looks like you missed something!

The red solar LED should light, so that is correct. Let's see what your battery test looks like. If it behaves the same, then it must be a bad sunairplus2 board.

Arduino Mini Pro 16MHz. There isn't a firmware update system on the MiniProPlus because it is a 328p and doesn't have network connectivity. Have to do it by hand.
You can find some great tutorials for installing the Arduino IDE on the net. And it works on the Mac. That's where we do all our development.

We did fix some lightning page stuff in V027D which is due out at the end of next week.
Does the lightning page show up first and then the update fails?

We are completely supportive of moving away from Blynk on the Apps. They have made it pretty useless for the "pay once" mode and moved to the subscription model.
We are dropping Blynk support in V028 of SkyWeather and really need to choose something else. Our requirements are "one time reasonable purchase or fee", android and iOS support (app, not browser). Having a browser based interface too is a plus.

This all points to something deep in the software used to upload the picture. Interestingly, we don't have that problem in our test units. BUT, I did have an unexpected crash on my new Skyweather2 software (V027D) that we are waiting for replication. We were uploading.

What do you have on the plate itself? We use the QIDI "sticky" plates that come with the XPLUS and the XMAX. This generally fixes the warping, but you have to just get it leveled and the right extruder height.

You can probably build one yourself, but then you have all the issues of modulation and demodulation. The WeatherSense AQI code is probably a good place to start (we modulate the code for decode on the Raspberry Pi SDR). You can also look at the demodulation code for the rtl_433 SwitchDoc Labs version to get started.
The addressing scheme only allows for three bits. Bummer, eh?
