Do you have another battery you could change it with? The problem is either a bad battery or a bad sunairplus 2 board.
Also, when you put it under the light what do the LEDS on the solar power end of the SunAirPlus do?

ncjay, Two things. 1) Thanks to goddel, the Arduino code for the 151 problem is fixed. If you want to update your Mini Pro Plus, here is V003 which has the fix. github.com/switchdoclabs/SDL_Arduino_WeatherSenseAQI2) No simple way of reporting both, but I'm adding it to the Bug list as it is something I would like very much too (Indoor AQI). Hmm. Interesting. This doesn't make a lot of sense.
Do you have access to the box when it goes dead? I'd like to know what the lights in the box do.
I'm thinking the battery is bad or isn't holding a charge.

I have run a set of tests on the Raspberry Pi using the SDL_Pi_HM3301 python programs and run it using the raw values reported from the Wireless AQI sensor (attached). It's a software problem on the Wireless AQI sensor. pi@SwitchDocLabs:~/SDL_Pi_SkyWeather2/SDL_Pi_HM3301 $ more testAQI* import aqi myaqi = aqi.to_aqi([ (aqi.POLLUTANT_PM25, '102'), (aqi.POLLUTANT_PM10, '192') ])
print("myAQI=", myaqi) pi@SwitchDocLabs:~/SDL_Pi_SkyWeather2/SDL_Pi_HM3301 $ sudo python3 testAQI.py myAQI= 175 pi@SwitchDocLabs:~/SDL_Pi_SkyWeather2/SDL_Pi_HM3301 $
The values 102, 192 are taken from the database values reported by the Wireless AQI sensor. The 175 agrees more or less with the airport and thus seem to be accurate and are above 151! Clearly the AQI values being reported from the Wireless AQI sensor are somehow being capped (I'll investigate that shortly). I am putting in a hot fix into the V008 code for the SDL_Pi_WeatherSense software to recalculate this using the raw values and then it will write that into the database. Before downloading and running V008, do this: sudo pip3 install python-aqi github.com/switchdoclabs/SDL_Pi_WeatherSenseThis hot fix will also be in V027 of SkyWeather2. BP

Aurr08,
Well, this is interesting. Does the white light flash on the HAT when you run sudo i2cdetect -y 1 ?
If it doesn't, then something is misconfigured on your Raspberry Pi. i2c isn't enabled maybe?

You need to shut down the pigpiod program. That's what is hosing up here. You can also reboot.

Pagerman,
I have a Raspberry Pi running the V027D version of SkyWeather2 using the on board camera that bombed last night! Now that is interesting!
All our other units are running fine, but maybe this is the same problem.

Looks like we have all the time lapses software running and gathering pictures from three Solar SkyCam units and the Raspberry Pi camera. Forgive the messy pictures from the lab! Hmm. I'll send you another key. Looks the same to me. Both are the letter "O" and not the number "0"?

Did you check your mounting as above?
You can use any Raspberry Pi compatible camera.

Did you register your station successfully on WeatherSTEM?
Did you put the exact same key in SkyWeatherConfigure? That is probably the issue.
Same thing with Blink. Make sure you have the EXACT text in SkyWeatherConfigure. No leading or following spaces. You can look in your SkyWeather2.JSON file too.

It looks like you did a pull of 26.04 off of SkyWeather2. I'll fix this and update with 26.05. It is a problem with the release.

PM me your shipping address. I'll ask if we can send you one of the beta units that we won't be selling.

We have now launched our latest WeatherSense sensor, the Solar SkyCam on Kickstarter. This can replace the Pi Camera on SkyWeather2 entirely, or you can run them both at once. SkyCam Kickstarter
